Ethics of a Forager

A famous saying goes, “There is a time and place for everything.” But in this age of open source availability and peer production, there seems to be no place for the purchase of information. Gone are the days of scanning aisles of music stores for the newest CD’s, and crossing our fingers that the movie we want will not be rented out at Blockbuster. But we have come to a point where the Internet is not just a forum we fall back on, but the one we go to first. Why would I buy the newly realeased season of my favorite show on DVD, when I can access it anytime I want on alluc.org, tvshack, or showlinks?
