live neon, encore 1.
As before, you can find NGCT here. The posts and metadata are all “live” now (and everything else, really - except for the “archive” drop down).

// Begin Comments & Trackbacks ?>It’s retina-scorching neon goodness, come on!
I just added 20px to the width of the search box (and dropped the cap in “search” to maintain my header style); I’ve been going back and forth on this… anyone else have an opinion? The thumbnail above still has the old width for comparison.
So looking at your image and the website side by site the yellow is definitely different. Personally i like the web yellow better than the jpgs yellow, its much brighter and goes with the burn your eyes out neon look much more harmoniously (if you could even say that).
I like the drop cap for search, but as far as the box width goes, I dont really notice the difference much, even when i flip back and forth in different tabs. I would keep the bigger one just for utility’s sake.
hello! is it me or did you tone down your yellow? now its a bit warmer, like cumin in my spice rack. hmmm… gimme back my neon! me like the neon better.
Same color! I haven’t changed any colors since the initial design. The screenshot is still dull though!
danger danger!!! the menu doesn’t work on IE.

go here and downlaod the javascript for the menu. this one is tested on all browsers. I used it before and its mega sweet. its guaranteed to work! if you want to stick to yours then make sure you menu displays down and not to the right side when in IE.
as much as we would love the world to all be on firefox, most of the time people still use IE, including dumbass design companies so it must be fixed. otherwise the yellow looks dull to me for some reason. you sure you haven’t changed it?
I horsed around with this for a while, managing to fix the blank gap in my header but no dice on the menu yet. Though I changed it a bit (including removal of IE compatibility, apparently), my menu came from the latest version of the book in your link. I am not under the false impression that everyone in the world uses FF, as I don’t even use it myself. The neon, correct and as specified: same (before) color (after).

maybe its because i’ve been sitting in a computer for too long but goodness that yellow is splat bright. i feel like i’ll go blind if i look for too long. i know its you aesthetics but can you tone it down a tiny tiny notch? also the search bar i would advise making it a little bit longer. doesn’t seem long enough to contain big words and hey don’t make me scroll in a text search box. thats sad. hehe some of us might have bad spelling and need to check back. or we might be looking for a phrase? never know.
anyways, wonderful work!
