Helloooo…anyone out there???
Hey gang. I’m posting this on the off chance that anyone might be checking in here but I’ve done some more revisions on my Heavenly Cakes site. I’m posting just the home page. After taking a break, I went back and looked at this page and anything that drew my eye that didn’t offer additional information I either eliminated or altered. I think it’s a lot cleaner, certainly simpler but I wonder if I haven’t lost the whimsy that my client requested. As always, I’m eager for your input.
On another note, I hope everyone’s Summer is going well and I can’t wait to hear about your exploits!

Well, we have taken a long hard look at this enormously confusing site. One thing has led to another and this is what we basically have come up with.
The major problem with the site is that within the navigation it takes you from one page to another to another so that it takes several steps and pages to accomplish even the simplest of tasks.
We propose a redesign of the structure of the homepage, eliminating the navigation on the left, moving some of the elements elsewhere, while eliminating some of the redundancies. The courses will now be tabbed across the top for easier navigation between courses. The homepage will have information germain to all courses while the individual course pages will have the same information only specific to it.
We encountered a domino effect, to change one thing requires several other changes, so there’s a good chance we’ll wind up altering more than the requisite 6 features but we will try to simplify our task as we go along.
Already we have found that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and are enjoying the collaborative element to this project.
