Moon Time Re-thought

Hey all,

Thank you for the very helpful comments! I decided to simplify the purpose of Moon Time. The feedback I had been getting was that people want to see the first date of last right away, as well as the next and previous date easily. In the spirit of true widgetness, I have eliminated the “descriptive” feature, leaving only the most pertinent information on display, in its default state. Moontime has been streamlined so that there are only two states, front and back. The front automatically displays the first day of last cycle, the first day of previous and future cycles. The back is a setup/preferences display.

After much thinking (and talking to programmer/designer friend) I have decided the best way to work the widget is as a dashboard widget that can be sms texted to access dates from a moblie phone (like SMS google.) The “ovulator” (thanks Alexandra!) operates this way but instead texts you with alerts and extra information which you may or may not want. It also doesn’t have the first day of last period date that I can find, it just tells you what day you are on which means you still have to count!

new widget, sorry guys (literally)

Hello Class,

Thank you for the feedback, but I just wasn’t feeling any of my previous directions and thus, I bring you: Moon Time cycle tracker. It is a woman centric widget, but I think would be truly useful. It is intended for everyday use, but would come in handy especially at doctor’s appointments when they invariably ask “what was the first date of your last…?” So, I am designing this cute, fairly discreet widget for women and girls to use on their mobile phones/smart phones.

Problem it solves: Keeping track of cycle

Main benefit: always having the information on hand/discreet

Display: Mobile phones/smart phones

How it works: select desired day on calendar, color bar appears, scroll to appropriate description, select, selected circle appears on calendar day.
