Sharing the fun

I’ll explain this in detail tomorrow, but this is my internet culture. I’ll only go over a few
tomorrow, though, so I thought I’d share all these addresses with you in case you were interested
in checking out the rest after class. For Jib Jab and beeks, copy and paste the url. The link isn’t
working for some reason.

Making the funny time!

Yeah! Thanks for the direction, Mushon! The video was helpful. But I’m afraid I’m still doing it wrong since my posts can’t be viewed on the widescreen on their own where you can scroll from one to the next, yet. But I’ll figure that out and correct it, soon. Also, I believe you want to see these things in their environment (on a desktop), so I’ll fix that soon, too. Oh, and I created these to get the main idea across. I’ll make it look pretty, soon. For instance, it’s mostly white, but I picture the final version as being mostly black.

Okay, so the first thing is the wireframe. The second thing is the icon that would appear on a desktop, since I imagine this widget would best suit personal desktops. Once the widgeter clicks on the icon, the please enter your zip code frame pops up. This can be a one-time only thing. The widget would remember the zip tied to the computer for future uses, but there is an option to change the zip code, in the next frame. After enter the zip, the closest comedy club would appear (which is the next frame - Caroline’s). The browser can choose “details” if they’re interested in going to that club. Otherwise, they click “next club”. The next frame shows the details. And the final frame shows the next comedy club.

It is difficult to have a fight in a gazebo.

posting help…again…but different.

Hey, everyone! I finally get this site down with Homer’s and it changes on me. I don’t know if it’s just me, but our class site looks and works differently. When trying to attach my comedy club widget stuff, it’s not coming up. The only thing I can get across now is text like this. Anyone have any guidance as to what I should be doing?!

Funny? Is this funny? Am I being funny right now?! How is this funny?!

My widget will list comedy clubs in the area, what comedians are at each this week, and offer clips on each of them. This solves 2 problems. When deciding on a comedy club, you usually just go based on vicinity or price, since we don’t recognize the names of the comedians (or maybe we recognize 1 or 2 here and there). So, you’ll be able to see a clip of their work and decide where to go based on who peaks your interest. Also, I don’t think I get enough comedy during the day. I think if I had a widget like this, I could easily check it out each day to here a new joke or two. Like if sesame seeds disappeared today, I don’t think anyone would care. It’s not like 5 years from now, I’d say, “Hey, remember the sesame? What happened?” Louie CK or someone said that. I heard it on one of my recent flights.I figured this would be on my personal desktop or website, but I believe it could be used on anything, like iphones, pdas, etc.desktop2.png website.png iphone.jpg

Homer’s presentation

Hello, everyone! I hope all of you had a great Spring Break! I’m sorry I couldn’t get this out earlier,  but although I had my laptop with me, neither place I was at had internet access. So, here’s my final Homer’s website that I will present this Friday.1-homerpage.png 2-sample-menu3.png 3-detailed-menu5.png 4-map3.png 5-events1.png 6-photos1.png 7-virtual-tour1.png 8-contact1.png

All Homer’s pages!!!

Hi! Okay, here’s everything! Don’t worry if you made comments and you don’t see your suggestions implemented. I haven’t had time yet to make revisions, but I will shortly. Just really briefly, I’ll say that my family and I have a date for tomorrow night at Homer’s to grab any last minute necessary photos that I didn’t take while I was there the first couple times around (including a shot of a malt for the Homerpage and a shot of more food for the sample page). 1-homerpage-v2.png 2-sample-menu2.png 3-detailed-menu4.png 4-map2.png 5-events.png6-photos.png 7-virtual-tour.png 8-contact.png

Homer’s sample menu

Hi! Don’t click on this paragraph. Click on the titles listed at the end of the paragraph. I figured out that in order for my pages to be viewed at their intended size, I have to post them as titles instead of thumbnails?! So, the first one is the Homerpage. Then, when the viewer clicks on the menu option in the menubar, the sample menu comes up. If they want to see more details, they click on the link that brings them to the detailed menu page. And finally, I’ve created the map.1-homerpage-v2.png2-sample-menu1.png3-detailed-menu3.png4-map1.png
