Worldmapper - The world as you’ve never seen it before
Most of us look for a map when we need to see the locational relationship between countries or to compare the land sizes. Well, I find this site interesting because it is not your typical map.
Maps on this site shows each country scaled based on research data. For instance, on the population map, a tiny country with extremely dense population is blown up to be larger than its neighbors with fewer population.

I’ll explain this in detail tomorrow, but this is my internet culture. I’ll only go over a few

in checking out the rest after class. For Jib Jab and beeks, copy and paste the url. The link isn’t
working for some reason.

Design and personalize your own Puma, Nike and Converse shoes on the Internet and have it delivered to your doorstep? Gotta love it!
Puma: Puma Mongolian Shoe BBQ
Nike: Nike iD
Converse: Converse Design Your Own
For a few bucks more than what you would pay at your nearby Foot Locker, you can get a pair of one-of-a-kind, personalized Puma, Nike and Converse shoes all designed by you! :) Ever catch yourself thinking, “Hmm, I would totally buy this pair of sneakers if only the swoosh were blue instead of orange?” Well, no need to fret. For all the sneaker lovers out there, the chance to make yourself a unique pair that only another person of the same design sensibilities could dream up is too tempting to pass up. I’ve personally spent quite a few hours of my life just trying to come up with the pair that I would have loved to see in stores but have never been able to find. Here’s the chance to cook up that shoe you’ve always dreamed of.
How it works? The three companies use differently-designed but all very interesting interfaces. The first step is choosing the kind of shoe that you want to “pimp.” For Converse, for example, you can choose between Hi-cut and Low-cut Chuck Taylors, Jack Purcells and Converse One Stars among others. After that, choose your gender, your size, and then you get to the fun part! A color palette is laid out for each part of the shoe and you are asked to choose the color of your liking. Puma’s shoes are the most fun to design because of the great many number of parts involved in creating their shoes. You’ll also learn a thing or two about how shoes are cut and put together the way Puma has laid out its parts. Of course, the best part is previewing the shoes you’re creating every time you make a change. There’s a growing satisfaction whenever you slap on another color, another feature. You are also able to personalize your shoe! They will embroider or print some characters onto a part of the shoe for you. (Maximum of 12 characters for Nike.) And voila! Spankin’ new sneakers that are your very own!
