Taxi Taxi! - Come check out this band tomorrow night!
If anyone is interested in some fun times for tomorrow night (saturday). My girlfriend’s brother’s band called Taxi Taxi is playing a show at Piano’s. The club is located in the lower east side @ 158 Ludlow Street on the corner of Stanton. Doors open at 8 and they play shortly after.
They are a great band. Listen to some of the music here: www.taxitaxiband.com or www.myspace.com/taxitaxiband
Sorry for spamming the class but thought some of you might be interested in checking out a show.
hope to see some of you there.

Hey team, Here’s my latest round of revisions. Major changes revolved around better integrating the type with the background texture by creating rollover buttons cut from the same cloth, so to speak. I also updated the information on all of the pages, though I haven’t yet decided what image/info will be on the home page (suggestions?). Finally, I strayed very minimally from the background color scheme in an attempt to keep it looking tighter. Lemme know what you think.pattern_03_home.png, pattern_04_about.png, pattern_05_clothing1.png, pattern_06_contact.png, pattern_07_hours_location.png

Attached two new versions of my page 1
Thank you all for your great feedback. As you know I was really struggeling with the overall design, which was not working mainly because of the colors. So this is the first thing I tried to change. You also said that the logo did not fit with the rest of the design. So I actually redesigned the logo (still very similar) and adjusted the type of the menu to make it feel from the same family.
I also changed the colors of the text so that all links and nothing but the links is blue.
Next I tried to work on the hierarchy of information. This is become more important on the next page. You did suggest to vary the size and the treatment of type more, to achieve this.
I know I am really behind, but would be very grateful if you could give me feedback on t![]()
he overall design of this page first so that I can then apply it to the other pages.
Dragon Ben’s- kicking in revisions
I thought I might as well get it over with when the feedbacks are fresh in my head. I have incorporated all the comments and made changes that I thought were valid for the pages I created for Friday past. Thank you Renda and everyone- every comment is valuable and goes to prove that many eyes are always better than one!
Anyhow, here is the return of the pages with the valuable inputs which hopefully got translated well-

Star Struck v.3.0
Hey all, So I’ve taken your feedback into account and have tried simplifying my background design with something that, while still busy in its own right, manages to give the site the proper feel without being distracting (thanks Lady for the great link!). I’m having trouble figuring out how to treat the textual information on each page, and so I’ve tried changing the color and typeface. Hopefully its easier to read. Thats all for now, see yall in class. Stay classy Web1! -Khurry

Golden Farm Revisions part deux
Hello and thank you for all your helpful comments! Lan and Liam: Agreed, shorten quotes! Who is going to read all that? Alexandra: Yes on all counts. It was a cucumber referenced by some writing in one of the quotes, but if you don’t read the quote, it would be quite random! I tried to resolve the search/button issue, but could use more suggestions. Stars for bullets? I may need to reconsider that list. Anuranjan: It is a lot of white space, but as Liam said (thanks for having my back L!) It is only there as per Mushon’s suggestion to design with lots of vertical space. It would ultimately be considered and shortened (probably.) Thanks again. -Ariel

Thank you everyone for your polite comments. I did some tweaks to the earlier pages as well apart from the new 3 pages from the site- 2 or 3 more and my site is done! The class timings were all 4 pm (even though I had uploaded the new file) because wordpress wouldn’t allow me to upload the correct file till I named it differently from the previous file even if I deleted the earlier file from the server!) and it left it up to me to figure that out! The colors are still strong because those are from the logo which is from the Korean flag and I think they correspond well to martial arts as well- think belts, think taekwondo. I have tried to line up everything to the grid and be more legible but my eyes are tired so if you can spot the mistakes, you don’t have to be polite about it. There are many more minute changes but I am sure you guys are smart enough to figure them out. For all problems and mistakes, please be ruthless.
